One of the highlights in 2023 was a mission trip to Ilocos Norte in the Philippines with a team from Singapore General Hospital’s Orthopaedics department. I was fortunate to be invited to join the team in view of my interest in global health. There was lots to learn from the planning process to the exchange of medical expertise and experiences. I wrote about these in a piece that appeared in the January 2024 edition of SMA News.
